Memorial Biography

KELLEY JEAN BELL Kelley, 57 years, was a native, born August 5, 1962 in Tempe Arizona and died March 7, 2020. in Mesa, AZ. She was the fourth child of Patricia J. (Utley) and Larry E. Bell with 2 older brothers Stan and Dan, and one sister Marla. Kelley was an independent, strong, loving, caring friend making her wants known quietly from birth. She studied piano in her school years resulting in Fur Elise becoming a favorite memory. Kelley graduated from Coronado High School, married, and moved to Nebraska where she sold Mary Kay Cosmetics and was a Realtor. She returned to Arizona when that marriage ended continuing as a Realtor in AZ. until ill health entervened. Kelley put herself last and became a talented Jack of all Trades to help others, painting houses, mostly indoors, a tile layer, helping install recessed lighting, and learned how to care for cars when she spent a few weeks as a taxi driver. She took care of her sister for the last seven months of life in the hospital and her mother, with all the needs of the elderly, including building a plant watering system for outdoor plants and installing a garbage disposal. She loved holidays, always decorated small gifts, and baked for her special people, always with a smile. At heart Kelley was a champion for anyone she considered mistreated or an underdog needing help. That led to adoption of two feral cats, {one was three legged} who found their home with her and any person she could “donate” or “gift” an animal to for their forever home. She fed ferals late every night, played with them, as well as helping capture and neuter them She lovingly helped anyone she could, stopping her car in the street to block traffic from hurting a kitten which resulted in a emergency room visit for repair on her hands and arms People became a special project when a friend became homeless. She helped find shelter, making daily trips to bring ice, food, fans or quilts and food. Her love and desire to help was her final gift in life when she became a donor to two others in need in Arizona. Kelley is survived by her mother Patricia, brother Stan, and wife Tammy, father Larry, stepmother Lonnie and step brother Austin, wth her 2 special nephews, Steven and Robert. Her brother Daniel and sister, Marla predeceased her. She is especially missed by her friend, Nicole. Services were held with inurnment at Green Acres, Scottsdale. Her loss is profound but she remains with us daily.
